High heels and passing
Posted: 14 years ago - Feb 04, 2012High Heels ibecame a topic that ranges from being a menace to some right through the scale to being a fetish for some. I think everyone lies somewhere on that scale and there are a lot of factors influencing peoples views regarding it. Some GG's love it, some hate them and most guys love them definitely to look at and some to wear them. Generally I find that people in the TG community all love their heels with the eceptions of those who do not have the physical abilities to wear them comfortably. Surely they are not made to wear always and everywhere as lots of gg's would agree! On the other side of the spectrum theres the "girls" that venture out and would like to wear their heels but are scared to be read or stand out.
At 6' I'm definitely taller than most gg's (note most!) but fortunately there are gg's that are as tall as me and taller. The fact of the matter is that ALL tall girls will get looked at because it is not the general rule but the exception when you see a girl towering above the crowds and it is just a natural phenomenon that people are always looking at tall GG's. I have experimented a lot with different looks and dressing down etc. I have come to the conclusion that it does not really make much of a difference as a 6' girl without heels will still attract attention. I found that I pass just as well in heels and sometimes better as long as I adhere to the appropriate clothing for the time and day and place I'm going. I have never been into the fetish stuff but love to dress very fem and tend to end up with the businesslook a lot.
I do not agree with the sisters who say you cannot pass well in that look and I have often gone shopping in my businesslook and sexy 4-5" heels, but that would be in the week and people will think you have just stepped out of the office or came from work, BUT it is not a good idea to go shopping over weekends in the same attire. I do end up still wearing a nice dress and heels on Saturday and Sunday too, but then the softer more fem look with a softer flowing and longer dresses and limit my heels to be only 3-4" then.
Being tall in heels gets me just as much looks as without heels but for me a pair of nice heels rounds of any outfit and adds class and I really enjoy wearing heels as they help you move fem even if you do not always concentrate on doing it.
Now surely there are people who cannot stand up in a pair of 2" heels and there are gg's who can wear 5" heels every day to work 5 days a week and some. I think it is a very personal decision ad it will depend a lot on each and every persons circumstances as to how much and when they would like to wear heels if at all.
I think I was somewhat lucky as I was immediately able to stand up and walk in a pair of 4" pumps the first time I slipped my feet in them. I am slender built and have relative small feet for my height, which was all helping factors. I immediately figured out how to displace my weight on the front part of my feet, which is a major part of being able to wear heels. But on the other side I was definitely not able to wear a pair of 4" heels for the whole day around the house then without some discomfort or pain later, so do not dispair. My personal experience was that one has to get comfortable with wearing heels even if you have a natural talent and the more you wear them the more comfortable they will become as your feet adapts to wearing them. Now surely if you do not have a natural talent or are overweight etc, those factors will come into play and make it much more difficult , or even impossible, for you to ever train your feet to be comfortable in heels for long period of times.
As my dressing progressed I got to a stage where I was wearing 4-5" heels very regularly around the house and was later able to wear a pair of 5" pumps around the house for the whole day comfortably. Even being able to do so did not prepare me fully for the first full day in public wearing heels! My feet was bruised after some hours in the mall and a regular gg day in heels in the beginning. Luckily practise does make perfect and the more I started going out enfemme the better my feet was able to do a day in heels, then 2 days, 3 but there was an interesting threshold at 4 days for me. The first time I went a full week enfemme I was in flats on day 4! As I have been progressing spending more and more time enfemme I experienced that the more I wear heels, the more comfortable my feet gets in them and once I have crossed the 4 day barrier, my feet are perfectly happy to wear heels all day every day for as many hours as I want. Now that does not mean I trample around in 6" platforms or 5" heels everywhere, even I have a sensibility when it comes to my heels lately!
I found that I would generally wear a comfortable sandal with 3-4" heels in the summer and varies that with just about every other shoe style available: pumps (peeptoe & slingbacks), and boots in wintertime. For me all styles can be comfortable in any heel height up to 4" and 5". I do not mailorder shoes anymore and always shop for them enfemme and I like to wear them both for a couple of minutes in the store to ensure they fit comfortably. There is surely a lot to be said about buying quality shoes, but that is not so much reflected in the price and brandname as it is in the materials and design of the shoe. I love buying shoes at DSW and about 80% of my 100+ pairs were purchesed at DSW, the rest at Nine west, Aldo or Target.
The basics in finding a comfortable heel is that it should be wide enough in the front, so if you have wider feet, do not buy a medium but wide. Then there is the support the shoe has, especially in the front. Sandals with very slim straps etc will cut into your feet and also slingbacks with straps that are not adjustable. It is also important to look at the shape and placement of the heel in relation of the center of your heel in the shoe. Heels that are too far forward is very unstable and I learned that the hard way as I bought a lovely comfortable looking pair of 3" Franco Sarto leather pumps. Balancing and walking in my 5" Nine west stiletto sandals are way more comfortable than in these! And then there is also the materials the shoe is made from, leather is expensive but does stretch and shape nicely with your feet and that greatly increases comfort in any boot, sandal or pump, so be prepared to pay $40-$100 for a good pair of heels, but I do not see the value of paying more than $100, as you will only be buying prestige not comfort necesarily then.
Wearing heels has become an integral part of Dianne and I always wear heels whenever dressed and they are normally 3-4" for daily wear. I got rid of the 2 pairs of 6" heels I had a long time ago as I cannot walk in them without looking stupid and I will sometimes wear 5" heels to a function or for an evening out. I have spent long times enfemme and are at a level where I can easily spend a whole week in my heels every day from 8am to 12pm without discomfort, but it did not come easy nor quickly. It is possible for me to wear a pair of 4" heels the whole day without experiencing a moment of pain ,and walk anywhere and do anything in them that day, but I am sure not everyone could, would (or want to) without extensive going out enfemme experience, so to each their own in this wonderfull world of diversity!
